PACIFIC COAST

Sun, black sand beaches where sea turtles come to nest, and a sea that is always invitingly warm!

PACIFIC COAST

The beaches on Guatemala’s pacific coast are black volcanic sand and the sea is always invitingly warm with great surfing. A manmade canal among the mangroves offers ideal opportunities for bird watching or simply enjoying the sunrise.

Many cruise ships call at the Puerto Quetzal port which is a convenient 90-minute drive from the colonial city of La Antigua Guatemala.

Things to do in and around the Pacific Coast:

  • Bird watching – ask us about best locations or if there are any species you’d like to tick off your list!
  • Beach combing
  • Ask us for options on how to make the most of your day in Guatemala if you are calling at Puerto Quetzal!
